Debra Kay (Brasker) Crawford went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 28, 2017, surrounded by her family after a hard battle with cancer.
Debbie was born March 18, 1949, in Williamsport, Ind., to Donald and Garnet Brasker. She was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers, Garland and Ronnie.
Debbie was the baby in her family of eight siblings and is survived by her four sisters, Alice Payne, Marg Summers, Donna (Jerry) Hale, Sue Allison; and one brother, Merrille Brasker. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Brenda Metzger.
Debbie was the proud mother to Bryan (Sam) Blankenship, of Covington, Ind., Jason (Tiffany) Blankenship of Indianapolis, and Morgan (Chad) Lincicum, of Williamsport. There was nothing Debbie loved more in her life than being called Grandma, "Mo-mo" or "Ga-ga" to her nine beautiful grandchildren. She was so proud of all of them and leaves behind Katelyn, Gabriella, Remington, Lexi, Davis, Graham, Bryanna, Dixon and Jovie. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she never missed a chance to tell everyone how proud of them she was or how much she loved them.
Debbie was a woman who never met a stranger. She has left behind many special friends. Debbie will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was truly one of a kind.
A visitation will be 4-8 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Sunset's Covington Chapel, 420 3rd St. Covington. A Celebration of Debbie's life will be at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday, Aug. 31. Per Debbie's wishes, cremation with burial at a later date in West Lebanon, Ind.
