David Eugene Irish, 72, of Palm Bay, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Hospice of St. Francis in Titusville, Fla., after a yearlong battle of pancreatic cancer.
Born in Paris, Ill., to Glen and Ruth Irish, he lived most of his life in Georgetown, Ill.,
David served in the Navy on the USS Enterprise CVN-65. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 40 years of service and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. David enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
David is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Sharon Joy Irish; daughters Monica (Jim) Campbell, Minon Smith, and Dawn (Pierre) Richer; son Brian (Geri) Irish. He also is survived by his brothers, Tipton (Joy) Irish, Michael (Betsy) Irish, Kent Irish; sister Betty Jo Barr; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
