Clayton Harold Ledford, 76, of Corinth, Miss., passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was born on Feb. 15, 1939, the son of Walter Ledford and Freda (Tittle) Ledford. He was married to Mary Ann Ledford for 43 years and she survives. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ledford of Corinth, Miss.; one son, Robert Langston and wife Cindy of Nevada; four daughters, Sheryl Ledford of Selmer, Tenn., Julia Steward and husband P.J. of Corinth, Miss., Judy Dodson and husband Don of Corinth, Miss., and Patricia Bray and husband Lester of Tupelo, Miss.; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Northrup, Jason Matlock, Miles Gingher, Paige Lancaster, Ty Bray, Shelby Cooper, Kyleigh Steward, Abbie Steward and Valerie Bray; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Keith Ledford of Carmi; three sisters, Norma Hart of Dahlgren, Nettie Bayler and husband Harold of McLeansboro, Doris Stinson and husband Irvin of Carmi; numerous nephews and nieces; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Ledford, and his parents. He was a retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. with 22 years of service. He served three tours in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm (USARV), Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Oversea Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon. He was a member of Kossuth United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth, Miss. with the Rev. Dr. Danny Rowland officiating. The visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Burial was held at Dogwood Cemetery with military honors. Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories was in charge of all of the arrangements.
