Carolyn Wichman, 84, of Rossville, formerly of Milwaukee, Wis., passed away on Sept. 22, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1931, in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Louise (Parsarski) Kuester. She married Donald Wichman in 1951 in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death in 2011.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by her sons, Curtis (Robert Worthington) Wichman of Rossville, Jeff (Diana) Wichman of Theresa, Wis., and Keith (Christine) Wichman of Caledonia, Wis.; one sister, Pauline (Ken) Talbert of Largo, Fla.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cheryl Wichman; two sisters and two brothers.
Carolyn worked at GM in the AC Sparkplug division for many years before retiring in 1984. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Carolyn was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and would attend training camp every year at Lambeau Field waiting to see Brett Favre, whom she loved.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion St. Danville, with Fr. Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Memorials can be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project, 230 W.
