Brenda Kay (Sibley) Watson, 60, of Austin, Texas and formerly of McLeansboro, died Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was born Feb. 12, 1954, in Eldorado, a daughter of James Norman Sibley and Mary (Edwards) Midgette. Brenda worked at Seton Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas, and previously worked at Hamilton Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her step mother, Charlotte Sibley of Roundup, Mont.; a sister, Marjorie Sibley Martinez and husband Michael of Florissant, Mo.; a sister, Sondra Sibley Wade of Billings, Mont.; a brother, Lon Sibley and wife Robin of Roundup, Mont.; a sister, Lynn Spurlock Erkmann and husband Jimmy of McLeansboro; a cousin who was like a sister, Katrina Rizk Teaker of Houston; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Greg Spurlock. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m. at the Elks in McLeansboro. All are invited to come for dinner and share memories of Brenda.
