Bob, aka Gus in the Springfield area, was a wonderful husband, awesome father and grandfather, brother and uncle. He never met a stranger and sure had the gift of gab. He loved golf and any outside games, riding his motorcycle and especially loved playing cards.
He and Bobbie, aka Barb to those same Springfield people, played guitar and sang together and were in numerous country opry's around the Springfield and Taylorville areas. He had a terrific sense of humor and wherever he was, there was always laughter.
He was in insurance as an agent and then management most of his life. A more honest man you'd be hard pressed to find.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Chapel, 200 E. West St., Georgetown. Immediately following visitation will be graveside services at Georgetown Cemetery.
