Betty Pratt, 87, of Danville passed away on December 31, 2017, at Hawthorne Inn Nursing Home in Danville.
She was born on September 28, 1930, in Hoopeston, Ill., the daughter of Monte Lee and Bonnie Clair (Hurst) Morgeson.
She married Warren H. Pratt on February 22, 1947, in Danville. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Betty will be deeply missed by her children, Paula (Kenneth) Lewis of Neoga, Ill., George (Diana) Pratt of Danville, Steve (Ruth) Pratt of Danville and Lisa (Keith Desanty) Pratt of Pekin, Ill. Also surviving are two sisters, Maxine (Bob) Calvin, Bonnie (Joe) Friel; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four siblings and two great-grandchildren.
Betty worked at Danville Liberty School and also was a seamstress from her home. She loved knitting, quilting and crocheting. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her favorite.
A celebration of Betty's life will be at 3 p.m. Friday, January 5, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Michael Heidle officiating. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum.
