Bennie Guillian Yohe, 87, of McLeansboro and formerly of Mt. Erie, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Hamilton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in McLeansboro. He was born June 4, 1928, in Mt. Erie, the son of Dale O. Yohe and Carmen E. (Sullivan) Yohe. He married Billie Jo Privitte on Oct. 26, 1950 in Mattoon.; she preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn L. Forth of Sulphur, La., Rebecca Keith and husband John and Annette F. Crow and husband Charles, all of McLeansboro; six grandchildren, Sheila, Adam, John, Mark, Brian and George; 15 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Jo; and one sister, Cleomia Taylor. He was a retired farmer and a loving father. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving as PFC in the U.S. Army. He was a member of McKendree Methodist Church, Mt. Erie Ruritan Club and was a former president of Wayne County Farm Bureau. Graveside services with military rites will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at McKendree Cemetery near Mt. Erie. The visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be given to the family at www.hosseltonfh.com.
