Anthony Izell "T-Shaw" Shaw Sr., 54, of Lafayette Ind., formerly of Danville, transitioned from his life at 2 p.m. EDT Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his residence.
Anthony was born August 4, 1964, in Danville, the son of the late William Walter Shaw Sr. and Earlie Dean Morris Shaw.
Anthony attended Carter Metropolitan CME Church and attended Danville Public Schools, Cannon, East Park and Danville High School.
Anthony was cherished by his family and friends. He was known for being a comedian. He enjoyed wrestling and was an avid sports and cooking fan.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Earlie Dean Shaw of Danville; three sons, Anthony Shaw Jr., Andrew Ross, Joey Ross, and a daughter, Mildred Shaw, all of Lafayette, Ind.; nine grandchildren; eight siblings, Ralph Morris Sr., Carl (Carolyn) Shaw, Williams (Melody) Shaw Jr., Phillip (Rosiland) Shaw, Patrick Shaw, Brenda K. Shaw, Twana (Tommie) McCullough and Lisa (Samuel) Shaw Johnson; special friends, Cathy Adams, Maury Pittman, Brenda and Myla Brown; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, William Walter Shaw Sr.; his brother, Steven Lee Shaw; maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Cunningham Morris; paternal grandmother, Mildred Hargrove.
A home going celebration will commence at noon, Thursday, October 19, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman, Danville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Minister Carl Shaw, eulogist. Interment will be at Sanhill Memorial Park. A public viewing will be 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, at Leek and Sons Funeral Home.
