Antaejha's Story

Text size

Antaejha Zynae Denise "Tae" Franklin, 8, of Danville, earned her angel wings and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, May 12, 2017, at her home.
Tae was born May 4, 2009, in Danville, the daughter of Jamenesha Franklin and Anthony Gouard.
Tae was a student at Mark Denman Elementary School. Although her illness kept her away from school, she enjoyed learning and spending time with her classmates. Tae was a beautiful and bright child with a contagious smile. Her smile would brighten a room and she often smiled through her pain to help brighten the day of her loved ones and her distant friends who followed her journey of fighting her illness.
Tae enjoyed coloring, making crafts and cooking. Being a big sister to her little brothers brought her the most joy. She took pride in helping her mother take care of her little brothers. Tae loved the color pink. Her hobbies included dancing, singing, making people laugh and girl time with her big sister.
Tae leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Jamenesha Franklin and Anthony Gouard, Sr.; sisters, Adrianna Watson and Antia'zha Gouard; brothers, Ajoure Watson, Keyton Carter, Anthony Jr., Antavion and Anterious Gouard; Granny, Ramona Robinson; Grandfather, James Williams, II; Grandmother, Linda Walls; PawPaw, George (Beverly) Gouard; Great-Grandmother, Lucy Seward; Great-Grandfather, James Williams, I.; Great-Grandparents, Bill (Barbara) Walls; special uncle, Deontae Franklin; special friend, Keyon Carter, Nika Hardimon and LaDarius Hardimon; Special TT, Jorica Rapier and Shanda Releford; all of Danville; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tae was preceded by her great-grandmother, Juanita Williams and great-grandparents, Davie Lee and Betty Ann Gouard.
Tae also leaves behind many wonderful caregivers at St. Jude Medical Center in Peoria who provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life.
We are forever "Tae Strong."
