Anjanette "Anjie"'s Story

Anjanette "Anjie" S. Campbell, 51, of Park Forest, Illinois passed away at 8:30 P.M. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois. She was born Friday, December 18, 1964 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to parents, Andre and Bernice (Edwards) McWilliams. She married Jeff Campbell on December 17, 1994 at Crossroads of Faith Christian Center in Centralia, Illinois.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Michael G. Bryant of Greater Pentecostal Church in Florissant, Missouri officiating and Bishop Harold Dawson, Jr. of New Life Christian Church in Peoria, Illinois delivering words of comfort. In honor of the family's wishes Anjie will be cremated following services and a private burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
A Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to Service Time 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
"Anjie" is survived by her children: Brysen McWilliams-Smith of Mount Vernon, Illinois; Jeff Campbell, Jr. of Riverside, California; Briea Campbell of Centralia, Illinois; Praize Campbell of Chicago, Illinois; Halayiah Campbell and Amaris Campbell both of Park Forest, Illinois, father: Andre McWilliams and wife Lana of Chandler, Arizona, and siblings: LeRone "Roni" McWilliams of Dahlgren, Illinois; Mario "Rio" McWilliams and wife Fie of Portland, Oregon and Cortney McWilliams of Mount Vernon, Illinois. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
Her brother: Moriba McWilliams and mother Bernice McWilliams preceded her in death.
"Anjie" was a member of New Life Christian Church of Peoria, Illinois. She loved her church and her church family. Anjie was a licensed Clinical Therapist in both Illinois and Florida most recently working at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Lakeland, Florida as an in-patient adolescent therapist. Anjie loved to spend her free time gardening and working in the yard. Anjie would grow vegetables and plants just to give them away to friends and relatives. Anjie loved the water, often vacationing somewhere near a beach. Another passion she had was seeing the world from different perspectives. Anjie and Jeff invested a lot of time together traveling and visiting interesting destinations. Anjie loved her children and was very protective of her family. Her life was dedicated to making sure they were safe and had what was needed. She was so proud of her only grandchild and would video-chat with him on a regular basis. Anjie also enjoyed cooking and spending time with close friends and relatives. She would make sure to connect with her girls when in town.
