Aneil Jalin Patton, 7, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:25 P.M. March 28, 2017 at Children's Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born December 14, 2009 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to parents, Anthony J. & Diana Patrice (Lash) Patton.
A visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. until funeral service time, 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend William R. "Ron" Lash, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois.
Aneil Jalin Patton is survived by his parents, Anthony and Diana Patton of Mount Vernon, Illinois; 2 brothers, Ashtun Rush of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Amare Lash-Patton of Mount Vernon, Illinois; 4 sisters, Tunezia Badger of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Lexy Patton of Centralia, Illinois, Andriana Patton of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Aria Patton of Mount Vernon, Illinois; maternal grandparents, William R. "Ron" Lash, Sr. and wife, Carolyn J. of Mount Vernon, Illinois; paternal grandparents, Jessie Adams, Sr. and wife, Diane of Mount Vernon, Illinois; paternal great grandmother, Elsie Lee Adams; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, William Robert Lash, Jr. and Jennie B. Lash and Albert Steward, Sr. and Mercie Lee Steward; paternal great grandparents, Fred Turner and Odell Turner and Jesse Adams; 3 cousins, Ladainian Lash, Jessie Turner, and LaMargaret Turner; and several aunts, uncles, and great-great grandparents.
Aneil was a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, attended Master Hawkins School of Tae Kwon Do, and participated in YMCA soccer and basketball. He enjoyed The Master's Kids Children's Church and Choir, loved Disney World, and watching FGTeeV Family on Youtube. He loved eating hot popcorn and loved to wear his bow ties. He loved school, his classmates, and being part of Carrie Plummer's Class as well as Sue Flood's Kindergarten class and Kathy Winchester's Head Start.
For those who wish, memorials may be given to the St. Louis Children's Hospital or to the Arthritis Foundation to benefit Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mount Vernon, Illinois 62864.
