Aline V. Trotter, 90, of McLeansboro, died 9:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at her son’s home in Texico. She was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of James Ragan and Minnie (Lively) Ragan. She married Henry Paul Trotter; he preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Larry Catron of McLeansboro and Kenneth Trotter and wife Geri of Texico; two grandsons, Kenneth E. Trotter and Paul A. Trotter; six step grandchildren, Robert Currul, Brandi Jolly, Bonnie Mecum, Chistina Wolf, Kathy Bryant and Rebecca Phillips; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Van Ragan; and a sister, Thelma LaRue. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Harvest Time Apostolic Church in McLeansboro. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Lynn Neal officiating. The visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Gholson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery near McLeansboro. Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice of Mt. Vernon, 2 Good Samaritan Way, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 or to Harvest Time Apostolic Church in McLeansboro and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
